In class this day we worked on blind contour drawings. We drew this drawings by putting our pen down on the paper; then we had to try to draw our hand without moving the pen off the paper and paying close attention to every single detail. The objection of doing this was to try and focus on what our hand actually looked like and not what we thought it looked like. It was really hard for everyone and my hand drawing was either too big, too small, or too wide. Overall, I thought I learned a lot from this exercise. It taught me even if you think you know how an object looks, it will not be realistic without looking closely at the object and to every detail on it.
